BIO ECONOMICS OF FISHING : STATIC MODEL. The objective of fishery management are essentially economic. This article provides an overview of the bioeconomics static model of fishing industry. The model consider together both of the population dynamics of fish stock and of the economics of fishing in order to arrive at a rational basis of considering the problem of fishery management.
Two models are presented; the first or traditional model use the assumption of fixed prices of harvested fish, and the second model relaxing this assumption. Numerical examples of both models also presented.
