Permukiman Kuna di situs Kota Bangun, Kutai Kartanegara

The archaeological research carried out in Tanjung Uringin (Kota Bangun) presents new data on the development of old settlement on the upper river of Mahakam. Such discovery was not surprising due to its location in close proximity to Muara Kaman, which suggests traces of settlement dated back from approximately 500 AD. There are some aspects that indicated the existence of old settlement in Kotabangun, such as ancient grave, pottery, figure of Nandi, gold, and Awang Long defense trench. This article discusses further the aspects of Tanjung Uringin settlement in Kota Bangun.
