Abstract
The objective of activity is to need electrical energy in Kalan installation by utilizing water resources. Micro-hydro has been made in the nuclear Installation Area, Kalan, West Kalimantan. Electricity needs resources in this area used to electricity generators that are not operated 24 hours. River water flow both the dry season and let alone the rainy season, which makes it possible to create electrical power. Stages of the process include: technical review, microhydro system selection, physical construction, microhydro house building, turbine installation and supporting equipment, microhydro testing, and electrical network installation. The result is electricity generated with a capacity of 5 KW power capable to meet the needs of 24 hours non-stop lighting in the Nuclear Installation Area, Kalan, West Kalimantan.
