Abstract
Wasan Temple is called Brahma Temple because inside this temple, there is placed a Brahma statue, also known as Catur Muka (of four-face statue) which is facing four directions. The Brahma statue is the ancestor statue which made a cult of Dewa Raja (deity of King), which can be observed from the stiffness of its physical description. Both of its front hands bring a circular object. The making of this Dewa Raja statue was done after a process of soul hallowing. In addition, the statue was realized based on belief that in his lifetime, The King was as a Brahma devotee or He was considered as the reincarnation of Brahma deity, which then followed by building the temple as the place of the statue
