Abstract
The use of water hyacinths on the uranium waste management have been studied. Water hyacinths are rapidly multiplying, widely distributed and no known economic value. Addiction of uranium wate of 0, 50, and 100 ppm to the water hyacinths was carried out. After one week, two weeks, the uranium uptake the leaves, stems and roots was determinated by polarographic method. It could seen that uranium was absobed by leaves and roots, and absorption in roots was greater that in leaves.
