Kekeruhan maksimum dan "Lendut"

Turbidity maximum and fluid mud. The natural phenomena of turbidity maximum and fluid mud have been recognized in many big rivers in the world since a half century ago. Their characteristics are briefly described and the effects of their existence to riverine transportations and other environmental aspects such as water pollution are discussed. These two phenomena do exist in the Gembong tributary of the Citarum delta. It is suggested to conduct future research on this matter in Indonesia.
