Abstract

Konang District is an area which have problem of fresh water dificulty especially in dry season, a sustainable sources of fresh water along year. Geologically this area have potential aquifer zone that can be developed as fresh water sources taking place on unit of sandy limestone interbedded with carbonaceous claystone and unit of tuffaceous sandstone intercolated with claystone. Geophysical measurement with
geoelectrical method, using Schlumberger configuration have been done to know subsurface geological data with the result that carbonaceous claystone, sandy limestone, and carbonaceous sandstone can be classified based on its resistivity value. Geoelectrical data processing using Winsev6 software have resulted the carbonaceous claystone shows resistivity value between 1-19m, carbonaceous sandstone have resistivity value 20-35 m, and sandy limestone have resistivity value >35m. Based on correlation from several point of geoelectrical measurement with known rock resistivity value, resulting two points of potential groundwater drilling. The location of potential points taking places in Pakes village at KN 12, KN 13 and KN 22. Based on result of geoelectrical measurement at KN 13 it can be known that layer that have resistivity value of 40 m can be classified as sandy limestone with thickness 40 m in depth of 78-118 m from surface. Beside that it also can be defined that resistivity value at 23m interpreted as carbonaceous sandstone with thickness of 30 m in depth
of 118-148 m from surface. This carbonaceous sandstone is potential aquifer layer with good porosity and permeability.
