ANALISIS SISA UMUR MATERIAL HP 40 MOD. MA PADA PIPA REFORMER INDUSTRI
PUPUK KIMIA. Fasilitas Uji Mekanik yang berada di Pusat Teknologi dan Keselamatan
Reaktor Nuklir (PTKRN) BATAN berperan penting dalam menunjang kebijakan PTKRN
sebagai Pusat Unggulan Inovatif dibidang penelitian integritas struktur material. Pengalaman
penelitian terkait penentuan sisa umur komponen dapat diaplikasikan tidak hanya pada
reaktor nuklir namun juga pada industri strategis seperti industri pupuk kimia. Pipa reformer
pada industri pupuk kimia sudah beroperasi selama empat belas tahun (14) tahun dari 67
tahun umur desain teknis jika dalam kondisi operasi normal. Untuk menjamin keselamatan
operasi, analisis integritas struktur pipa reformer dengan memperhitungkan sisa umur harus
dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan perhitungan sisa umur pipa reformer
dengan menggunakan pengujian creep dan metode Larson Miller Parameter (LMP).
Pengujian creep dilakukan pada beban dan temperatur konstan. Dari hasil perhitungan sisa
umur diperoleh sisa umur pipa reformer pada temperatur operasi 850oC dan tekanan 35-40
Bar adalah 8 tahun. Dari hasil perhitungan dapat diharapkan bahwa komponen pipa
reformer masih dapat beroperasi dengan selamat sampai 8 tahun kedepan dengan syarat
kondisi operasi normal

ABSTRACT
REMAINING LIFE ASSESSMENT OF HP MOD MA REFORMER TUBE MATERIAL IN
CHEMICAL FERTILIZER PLANT. The Mechanical Test Facility located at the Center for
Nuclear Reactor Technology and Safety (PTKRN) plays an important role in supporting
PTKRN's policy as a Center of Excellence in the field of nuclear safety including material
structure integrity research. The experiences of PTKRN in aging management of research
reactor with the purpose for determining the remaining life of components can be applied not
only in nuclear reactors but also to strategic industries such as the chemical fertilizer
industry. Reformers tube in the chemical fertilizer industry have been operating for fourteen
years (14) years from the technical design age of 11.5 years under normal operating
conditions. Its life already extends for 2.5 years. Therefore, remaining life of the reformer
tube needs to be assessed for ensuring the safety of operation. The purpose of this study is
to calculate the remaining life of the reformer tube using creep testing and the Larson Miller
Parameter (LMP) method. Creep testing is carried out at a constant load and temperature.
From the calculation is obtained the remaining life of the reformer tube at operating
temperature of 850oC and a pressure of 35-40 Bar is 8 years. From the results can be
expected that the reformer tube components can still operate safely for the next 8 years on
condition that the operating conditions are normal
