PERHITUNGAN JUMLAH LIMBAH PASKA DEKOMISIONING REAKTOR TRIGA MARK II BANDUNG

WASTE INVENTORY FROM DECOMMISSIONING OF TRIGA MARK II REACTOR, BANDUNG. Assessment of waste inventory calculation results from decommissioning of Triga Mark II reactor Bandung has been carried out. Triga Mark II reactor Bandung started operation in 1965 on the power of 250 kW. In 1971, the reactor power was increased to 1000 kW. In 1996 dismissed the reactor operation to be upgraded to year of 2000 kW and was completed
in year of 2000, and commissioning is done back in year of 2001. Due to relatively old age, then the decommissioning plan should have been prepared. The initial phase is to do an inventory of radionuclides contained in the components of the reactor core and its surroundings. This inventory was used a computer code ORIGEN 2, so that it can be qualitatively and quantitatively estimated radionuclide categories in each of these components, including radioactive
waste activity is very low or below the clearance levels, low level activity radioactive waste, and intermediate level radioactive waste. The conclusion is obtained the estimation of waste inventory from the decommissioning of main component reveated that of Triga Mark II reactor, i.e: the low level activity waste approximately 104.955 tons (15, 21%), the intermediate level waste activity is approximately 37.847 tons (5.60%) and very low activity waste or below the clearance level is approximately 533.600 tons (78.89%).
