Abstract

DESIGN OF VAC OFF-GAS CONTROL SYSTEM AT THE RADIOACTIVE WASTE INSTALLATION BASED
ON PROGRAMABLELOGIC CONTROL. Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems in the Radioactive Waste
Instalation (RWI) serves to keep the room at a state of partial vacuum to the outside air pressure, limit the possibility of
contamination, and air treatment beforeexisting through the chimney. When operating, VAC Off-Gas system using the
controls on-off relay. Measurement of operating parameters is done periodically using portable measuring instrument.
Control and monitoring is less effective that need to be changed to a newer technology. Change control system of on-off
control to the control-based Programmable Logic Control (PLC) becomes an attractive solution. To begin with, it
should be made the design of VACcontrol system based PLC. Method done by identifying and inventory needs and make
the system work diagram will be applied. Control system design of VAC Off-Gas IPLR need 1515-2 PN CPU
components number as 1 piece. Interface Modules IM 155-5PN ET 200MP number as 1 piece.PM 1507 Power supply
24 V / 8 A number as 2 pieces.Digital Input Module DI 32 x DC 24 V, 32 Channels in Groups of 16 number as 2
pieces.Digital Output Module DO 32 x 24 VDC / 0.5 A; 32 Channels in Groups of 8 number as 2 pieces.Analog Input
Module AI 8 X 4 units.Software components are S 7300 and Win CC Flexible 2008 Runtime. On-off control operation
connected to the CPU through the input / output devices in the control room while monitoring performance information
and measurement instrument operating parameters to the interface module connected via input / output devices
