Perbedaan tingkat kecemasan wanita menjelang menopause antara wanita yang bekerja dan yang tidak bekerja di Dusun Ginonjo Desa Besuki Kecamatan Jabon Kabupaten Sidoarjo

Menopause is a stage of development of the women who no longer get menstruation so sign indicates the end of women's ability to reproduce. Menopause is a time period that can potentially cause worries. However, response to the menopause has come diversity, the causes are knowledge, insight and action that done by the woman. This aims Research is to explain the differences in the level of fear of women towards menopause between women who works and unwork. Research design is using Cross sectional. Population in this research is the menopause in women Ginonjo Hamlet Besuki Village Jabon District Sidoarjo regency. Technique sampling is using Stratified random sampling with the number of respondents to the research population of 40 working and unworking women, living in the Ginonjo Hamlet Besuki Village Jabon District Sidoarjo regency on 16 until 26 September 2008. The Instruments are using worries scale questionnaire that arranged based on the Hars scale. Analysis of data using the Mann Whitney test with level meaning a = 0.05. Based on the results of this research it was found that the level of fear of women towards menopause, who works as many as 10 women (25%) who experienced low fear. And the level of fear of women towards menopause who do not work as many as 12 women (30%) who are experiencing fear. Based on Mann Whitney test the established level meaning p = 0.021 is smaller than a= 0.05 so that shows Ho denied that there are differences in mean levels of fear of women towards menopause between women who works and unwork. Women that unwork the worries are higher than working women in the menopause. This is influenced by the less of knowledge because they get the right and clear information on menopause, so that they less understand about the menopause.
