Abstract
ABSTRACT
PROCESS FAILURE ANALYSIS OF BOILER IN LIQUID RADIOACTIVE WASTE INSTTALLATION. Center for Radioactive Waste Technology using boilers as a means of supporting the liquid radioactive waste treatment process. The problem is, when the operation took place, the boiler system startup failure. Waste treatment process to be delayed and the boiler must be repaired. Phase identification of the failure of a part of the treatment. The cause of the failure must be analyzed so that the process of restoration of the boiler takes place quickly and precisely. The analysis was performed by the method of testing components that affect the operation process. The analysis concluded that the failure of the boiler caused by damage to the control module. Flame detector response to light was still good.
Resistance and current detectors still meet the standards specified operation when there is no light and fire. The
detector resistance measured 765 Ω when receiving light and infinitely scalable when no light. Electrical current of detector measured 0 when no light and measured 24 uA when receiving light. Control module failed to issue a voltage signal at pin 23 so that there is or is not acceptable firelight flame detectors, pin 22 does not receive the information signal. The startup process becomes lockout due to the absence of information signal fire. The solution is to do the replacement of the control module to eliminate the cause of the failure so that liquid radioactive waste treatment
process can take back
