Abstract
Some Notes on Seaweeds Gracilaria. Gracilaria have been known as bacteriological medium, tissue culture medium, additives on pharmacies, industries, etc. Gracilaria is one of the red algae belong to Rhodophyta. The are usually growing on reef flats, commonly in the intertidal zones. Some species grow on estuaries. Morphology of this algae can be differenciated as sporophyt, gametophyt and carposporophyt. Presently, Gracilaria have been cultivated by Indonesian peoples.
