Abstract

Knowing The Life of Anemonefish Group (Pomacentridae). Anemonefishes or clownfishes inhabit the sea anemones in the shallow water of the tropical seas. They are brilliantly in colour, relatively small and fascinatingly interest-ing. They have a close relationship with the sea anemones. Their lives obiigately depend on the sea anemones except their larvae stage. These fishes belong to the family Pomacentridae, sub family Amphiprioninae, involving 2 genera: Amphiprion with 28 species and Premnas with one species (P. biaculeatus). Their distribution are restricted only in the Indo- West Pasific with a peak of abundance and diversity in the Indo-Australia-Philippine area. Anemonefishes are known sexually monochro-matic. Spawning takes place throughout of the year, usually before or after the full moon.
