Abstract

A glimpse of the Tanaidacea. The Tanaidaceans, as like as Amphipods and Isopods are also belong to the lower crustaceans group. Tanaids are a relatives poorly known group of approximately 500 benthic species, with a few known from brackish and fresh water. Their body is subcylindris to somewhat flattened. The pereiopods II are adapted for the spinning legs, are not involved in the walking procedure. There is no information on the Tanaids from Indonesian waters.
