Abstract
PERCOBAAN ANALISIS AKTIVASI NEUTRON EPITHERMAL MENGGUNAKAN BAHAN ACUAN STANDAR BCR 063R SKIM MILK POWDER DI FASILITAS RABBIT SISTEM REAKTOR GA. SIWABESSY. Telah dilakukan percobaan analisis aktivasi neutron epithermal dengan sampel susu BCR 063R menggunakan di sistem rabbit reaktor GA. Siwabessy (RSG-GAS). Percobaan dilakukan dengan variasi 3 buah filter yaitu flexi boron, cadmium dan boron karbida. Sampel diiradiasi dengan daya 1 MW, waktu 3 menit, waktu tunda 5 menit dan waktu cacahan 3 menit. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan fleksi boron dapat mereduksi radioaktivitas hampir 100 x dibandingkan dengan tidak menggunakan filter dan puncak energi Iodine , 128I of 442,9 keV tampak lebih ramping. Tanpa filter flexi boron puncak energy 128I sulit terdeteksi. Disimpulkan bahwa analisis aktivasi neutron epithermal terhadap sampel skim milk powder secara kualitatif mampu mengidentifikasi unsur 128I yang terdapat dalam sampel milk tersebut apabila di dalam analisis digunakan senyawa flexi boron sebagai bahan penyerap neutron thermal.

ABSTRACT
EXPERIMENT OF EPHITERMAL NEUTRON ACTIVATION ANALYSIS OF REFERENCE STANDARD MATERIAL OF SKIM MILK POWDER OF BCR 063R AT THE RABBIT SYSTEMS FACILITY OF GA. SIWABESSY REACTOR. The experiment on epithermal neutron activation analysis have been conducted using reference standard material of skim milk powder of BCR 063R as a sample. It is conducted at the rabbit systems facility of GA. SIWABESSY reactor RSG-GAS). Three pieces of filter consisting of flexi boron, cadmium and boron carbide were selected as a neutron absorber. The samples were irradiated for 3 minutes with the power of 1 MW, delay time of 5 minutes and counting time of 3 minutes. Result of experiment shown that flexi boron to compound is able to alleviate radio activities to one tenth compare to that of unfiltered. Further it was shown that energy peak of 442,9 keV of Iodine 128I is sharper. Without flexi boron compound energy peak of Iodine cannot be seen clearly. Then it can be concluded that activation analysis of epithermal neutron toward skim milk powder sample qualitatively was able to identify 128I element contained within milk standard sample if a flexi boron compound is used as a neutron thermal absorber.
