Abstract

PERANCANGAN ALAT BANTU PEMBUKA KAPSUL TARGET ISOTOP. Kegiatan membuka kapsul pembungkus luar target isotop pasca iradiasi sangat diperlukan kehati-hatian agar kapsul dapat digunakan kembali. Data hasil penanganan kapsul target iradiasi sebanyak 6 buah mengalami kegagalan 3 buah. Selain harus memotong kapsul juga akan menambah limbah padat. Kegagalan biasanya disebabkan karena saat membuka terjadi ketidaksegarisan antara tutup kapsul dengan tabung kapsul sehingga mengakibatkan keausan dan macetnya tutup kapsul. Untuk menghindari kegagalan tersebut dibutuhkan alat bantu yang dapat membuka kapsul. Dari hasil perancangan diperoleh kecepatan putaran 20 rpm alat pembuka tutup kapsul dapat membuka tutup kapsul tanpa menyebabkan kerusakan dan kemacetan.

ABSTRACT
DESIGN TOOLS OF ISOTOPES TARGET CAPSULE OPENER. Event opens the post irradiation outer isotope targets capsule are indispensable prudence so that the capsule can be reused. Data from the capsule handling of irradiated targets as much as 6 units failed 3 pieces. Apart from having to cut the capsule will also add solid waste. Failure is usually caused when the opening unallignment occurred between closed capsule with the capsule tube, resulting in wear and breakdown cap capsule.
To avoid such failures tools needed to open the capsule. From the results obtained designing a rotation speed of 20 rpm opener can unscrew the cap capsule capsules without causing damage and congestion.
