Abstract

ANALISIS KONSENTRASI IODIUM LEPASAN UDARA CEROBONG DI REAKTOR SERBA GUNA GA SIWABESSY. Lepasan udara buang dari cerobong RSG-GAS harus dipantau setiap saat karena punya dampak radiologik bagi masyarakat dan lingkungan. Gas iodium adalah salah satu yang harus dipantau setiap saat terutama pada saat reaktor beroperasi. Konsekuensi bila terhirup gas iodium melalui inhalasi melebihi nilai ambang batas akan sangat berbahaya bagi manusia, oleh sebab itu lepasan konsentrasi iodium ke udara perlu pengendalian secara berkesinambungan selama operasi reaktor. Pengendalian dilakukan dengan cara mengambil cuplikan dengan sistem KLK06 CR004, yang selanjutnya hasil cuplikan diukur radioaktivitasnya menggunakan spektrometer γ. Dengan diketahuinya laju alir pada cerobong dan waktu pengambilan sampel maka dapat dicari konsentrasi Iodium yang ke luar dari cerobong Reaktor Serba Guna GA. Siwabessy. Hasil analisis konsentrasi iodium rata-rata sebesar 0,142 Bq/m3, dan hasil ini lebih kecil dari nilai ambang batas lingkungan untuk I-126 menurut Peraturan Kepala BAPATEN Nomor :02/Ka-BAPETEN/V-99 yaitu 400 Bq/m3. Meskipun sudah ada indikasi penurunan kinerja filter Iodium, namun reaktor tetap beroperasi dengan aman.

ABSTRACT
CONCENTRATION ANALYSIS IODINE STACK AIR RELEASE IN REAKTOR SERBA GUNA GA SIWABESSY. Air throw releases away from stack RSG-GAS must be observe every moment because has radiological impact for society and environment. Iodine gas is one of the other must be observe every moment especially at the reactor operate. Consequences if inhaled iodine gas through inhalation exceeding the threshold value would be very dangerous to humans, and therefore loose the concentration of iodine into the air needs to control continuously during operation of the reactor. Control is done by take citation with KLK06 CR004 system, later on citation result is measures the radioactivity uses light spectrometer γ. After knowing rate of flow in stack and long operation in one year, then the iodine release concentration, trough the G.A. Siwabessy Multipurpose Reactor, can be calculated, which the calculation result is 0.142 Bq/m3. Results of the analysis of the average iodine concentration of 0,142 Bq / m3,and this calculation result is smaller than the environment threshold value for I-126 release, in accordance with The Regulation from National Nuclear Regulatory No : 02/Ka-BAPETEN/V-99, which is equal 400 Bq/ m3. Although, there has been an indication that iodine filter performance has been decreased, but the reactor is still able to operated safely.
