Abstract
PENGUKURAN KONSENTRASI RADIOAKTIVITAS UDARA LINGKUNGAN DI KAWASAN
PUSAT PENELITIAN TENAGA NUKLIR (PPTN) PASAR JUMAT, JAKARTA. Pengukuran
tingkat radioaktivitas udara lingkungan di kawasan PPTN Pasar Jumat telah dilakukan dengan
mengambil sampel di II titik dalam kawasan yaitu 3 titik di kawasan Pusat Pendidikan dan
Pelatihan (PUSDIKLAT), 3 titik di kawasan Pusat Pengembangan Bahan Galian dan Geologi
Nuklir (P2BGGN), 2 titik di kawasan Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Keselamatan Radiasi
dan Biomedika Nuklir (P3KRBiN) dan 3 titik di kawasan Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan
Teknologi Isotop dan Radiasi (P3TIR). Dalam perhitungan konsentrasi radioaktivitas udara
(KRU) ini dipertimbangkan parameter waktu paro radionuklida dan koreksi faktor geometri
pencacahan sampel terhadap sumber standard Ra.D.E.F Partikulat udara dikumpulkan dengan
kertas filter menggunakan air sampler dan dicacah menggunakan alat pencacah Geiger
Mueller. Berdasarkan perhitungan yang dilakukan diperoleh tingkat KRU tertinggi di ruang
lim bah (P3KRBiN) yaitu sebesar 1,56502 Bqlliter, sedangkan KRU terendah di halaman
belakang SDAL (P3TIR) yaitu sebesar 4,52441 x 10-3 Bqlliter. Tingkat KRU yang lain berturutturut
adalah 9,7231 x 10-3 Bq/liter (ruang kelas A-Pusdiklat), 9,2174 x 10-2 Bqlliter (bunker
. penyimpanan sumber-Pusdiklat), 7,19356 x 10-2 Bqlliter (di atas bunker penyimpanan sumber-
Pusdiklat), 6,01847 x 10-3 Bqlliter (depanpintu masukgedung Pusdiklat), 4,89352 x 10-3 Bqlliter
(tempat penyimpanan limbah cair-P2BGGN), 5,85681 x 10-3 Bqlliter (pembuangan udara Lab
Geokimia-P2BGGN), 2,7457 x 10-' Bqlliter (ruang pengerusan Lab. Geokimia-P2BGGN),
1,58613 x to' Bq/liter (taman-P3KRBiN), 5,36863 x 10-3 Bqlliter (depan pintu penyimpanan
limbah-P3TIR) dan 4,93260 x 10-3 Bqlliter (menara air-P3TIR)
(MEASUREMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL RADIOACTIVITY LEVEL IN THE AIR AT
PASAR JUMAT NUCLEAR RESEARCH CENTRE AREA. Level of radioactivity in the air was
measured from samples at 11 locations in the Nuclear Research Centre Area; namely 3 locations
at Centre for Education and Training (CET) area, 3 locations at Centre for Development of
Nuclear Ore and Geology (CDNOG) area, 2 points at Centre for Development of Isotopes and
Radiation Technology (CDIRT) area and 3 locations at Centre for Development of Radiation
Safety and Nuclear Bio-medicine (CDRSNB) area. In the calculation of radioactivity
concentration in the air (derived air concentrations - DAC), it is considered radionuclide half
life and geometric factor on the counting. Air particulates are collected in the filter by using air
sampler. Then it's activity is measured by GM counter. Based on the measurement, the location
at waste room (CDRSNB) has the highest DAC, as 1.56502 Bq/liter. Meanwhile, the location at
backyard SDAL (CDIRT) has the lowest DAC, as 4.52441 x 10-3 Bq/liter. The other DACs
subsequently, are 9.7231 x 10-3 Bq/liter (class room A-CET)), 9.2174 x 10-2 Bqlliter (bunker
CET), 7.19356 x 10-2 Bqlliter (above bunker-CET), 6.01847 x 10-3 Bqlliter rt,ont of entry door-
CET), 4.89352 x 10-3 Bqlliter (liquid waste room-CDNOG), 5.85681 x 10- Bqlliter (air outlet
Geochemicallab-CDNOG), 2.7457 x 10-' Bqlliter (Geochemicallab-CDNOG), 1.58613 x 10-2
Bqlliter (park-CDRSNB), 5.36863 x 10-3 Bqlliter (front of radioactive waste storage-CDIRT) and
4,9326 x 10-3 Bqlliter (water tower-CDIRT).)
