Pengaruh ekspor dan impor terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Indonesia pada tahun 2018-2022

This research aims to investigate the influence of exports and imports on economic growth in Indonesia. The quantitative method is employed, utilizing secondary
data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS)
in the form of time series data from 2018 to 2022,
organized on a quarterly basis. The independent variables in this study are exports and imports, while economic growth is the dependent variable. The Error Correction Model (ECM) is used as the analytical framework to correct short-term
imbalances and achieve long-term equilibrium. Data processing involves quantitative descriptive analysis using Microsoft Excel 2013 and EViews 12 software. The steps include unit root or stationarity tests to determine whether the data is stationary or non stationary, cointegration tests to establish long-term relationships among non-stationary variables, and the implementation of the ECM model to correct short-term imbalances. The research findings indicate that exports and imports collectively have a significant influence on both long-term and short-term economic growth in Indonesia. Increasing exports and imports are shown to stimulate domestic economic growth.
In conclusion, this study highlights the significant impact
of exports and imports on economic growth in Indonesia,
both in the short term and long term. These findings align
with the theories of international trade, emphasizing the
importance of trade activities in driving economic
development.
