Abstract
This paper presents a portrait of tolerance that exists and develops in the Hamlet of Kenteng, Sumogawe, Semarang Regency. Noble values as local wisdom are used as the foundation for building diversity in the practice of tolerance. Through a descriptive analysis study, using a literature review, equipped with interviews and observations as a means of data collection, and analyzed using the Analysis Interactive Model from Miles and Huberman, it was found that the noble values related to the view of Javanese cosmology and Kawruh Begja are inherent in society, supported by Javanese Ethics. about Ngajeni and nepakake become reinforcements in the practice of tolerance in society. These three things can happen supported by a pattern of introduction, internalization and implementation that are intertwined in its implementation. This portrait of tolerance becomes a stimulant to celebrate diversity in the midst of differences.
