Abstract
This thesis is entitled: Local Wisdom-Based Tourism Development Strategy in Bakara. The background in conducting this research is that the tourism potential is based on local wisdom and the natural potential that Bakara Village has is abundant as a tourist visit area, but has not been optimally managed so that it has not been able to have a significant impact on the economy of the people of Bakara Village. The purpose of this study is to see how the tourism development strategy made by the government and the community for tourist objects in Bakara.The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method that is descriptive in nature so that in this study using data collection techniques with two types of data, namely with primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using primary data are participatory observation, in-depth interviews and data collection techniques using secondary data using library research. The results of this study indicate that the development of local wisdom-based tourism objects in Bakara Village is very a\rac+ve as a tourist visit area in Humbang Hasundutan because it has high historical value and uniqueness. There are local wisdom-based tourist objects in Bakara Village, namely Sisingamangaraja Palace, Sulu-Sulu Spear, Promise Waterfall, Aek Sipangolu, Aek Sitio-Tio, Partonunan Cave, Hariahara Tungkot, Hatuanan Spear, Siuntung Ungkapon Stone and natural poten+al, namely Gazing at the Valley Bakara, agriculture, Lake Toba and Sitakke Island. However, not all of these tourist objects have a positive impact on the social and economic life of the Bakara village community. At present the tourist objects that affect the people's economy are the tourist objects of the Sisingamangaraja Palace, Aek Sipangolu, the Promise Waterfall and the agricultural products of shallots and rice. The management and development of each tourist object carried out in Bakara Village has not been fully maximized so that it has not been able to have a substantial impact on the community's economy.
