Eksistensi kesenian ondel-ondel (Studi kasus: kesenian tradisi di Perkampungan Budaya Betawi Srengseng Sawah, Jakarta Selatan)

This paper is en+tled The Existence of Ondel-ondel Art in Betawi Cultural Village, Srengseng Sawah, South Jakarta. Ondel-ondel or in ancient +mes called Barongan is a large doll which has now changed its func+on from what used to be a repellent to reinforcements to become an entertaining art. The method used in this study is a qualita+ve approach and takes data by indepth interviews, observa+on and analysis of various journals or literature studies andinterviews are conducted using an interview guide. The results of this study indicate that ondelondel is the oldest Betawi art that s+ll exists today but there have been many changes in the elements and meanings of the ondel-ondel sec+on. Ondel-ondel in Betawi Cultural Village, Srengseng Sawah, South Jakarta s+ll exists as entertainment and as decora+on because ondelondel has now been modified into various shapes and sizes. The existence of mini ondel-ondelor commonly called miniature ondel-ondel in the Argawana studio to train crea+vity and also increase the selling value.
