Abstract
Home security is extremely important and always desired by every homeowner. One of the problems that threaten homeowners' security is theft. Various measures are taken such as using a home door lock, but theft still occurs because the lock is successfully picked. On the other hand, the development of home security technology is increasingly advancing. This is supported by the availability of internet of things technology. Through this technology, homeowners can monitor the condition of their home anytime and anywhere using a smartphone. Therefore, in this research, a door security monitoring and alarm system using internet of things (IoT) is designed. This research uses the research and development method with predetermined stages. These stages include system design, prototype creation, prototype testing, and system optimization. The designed system uses a Wemos D1 R1 microcontroller, limit switch, buzzer, and the Antares IoT platform. Based on the testing results of the door condition monitoring system, the device was able to work with an average response time of 1.6 seconds. As for the door control and alarm system testing results, the device was able to work with an average response time of 2.3 seconds.
