Abstract
The flow of energy in mangrove forest, which is originated from photosynthetic process, proved to be specific chain for mangrove forest Litter fall forms one of the component in tiie chain which contribute food sources for the surrounding organisms. The following process is decompotion which terminate by producing nutrient that can be reutilized by the mangrove plants. The rate and amount of litter fall is influenced by climate, elevation, fertility and humidity of soil, density and basal area of plants, season, annual variations and age of the plants. Whilst, the decomposition rate is influenced by climate, quality of sources and activity of decomposing organisms.
