Abstract

Based on the background in school, there are still teachers who have not met the standard of teaching eligibility. In order to motivate teachers to meet teaching eligibility standards, the principal leadership factor is very important. The results of this study reveal the principal leadership techniques in increasing the effectiveness of teacher performance at 11 Kunangan Parit Rantang Elementary Schools, including techniques to prepare people to become followers; treat people as human beings. not as a1at; become role models for followers; persuasion and giving orders; use a suitable communication system and provide the facilities to carry out the job properly. The leadership function of the Head of State Elementary School 11 Kunangan Parit Rantang both as educators, managers, as administrators, as supervisors, ability to influence (leader), as reformers (innovators), as motivators (motivators). Of the various functions, some of them have been implemented by the Principal of Primary School 11 Kunangan Parit Rantang. The Leadership Function of the Principal in Improving the Effectiveness of Teacher Performance should be improved, especially in developing teacher skills. In addition, it is also hoped that the Principal will always take advantage of the results of supervision, in making decisions with the school community, and in establishing the principles of reward and punishment. In order to increase the effectiveness of teacher performance at SD Negeri 11 Kunangan Parit Rantang, discipline should be enforced in the school environment with the existing rules and should be implemented consistently.
