Abstract

BATAN through Center for Nuclear Minerals Technology (PTBGN) has mastering of the rare earth elements separation technology. REE hydroxide produced by PTBGN is intermediet materials which will processed to be REE oxide or individual REE according to their use. Many industries are relying on the quality of their product on REE, from simple technology until high technology. The producing REE must have good quality and must meet the product standard, therefore certificates are required that the product is worthy of use as a InHouse standard. This study aims to create In-House standard of REE with sampling method, sieving, water content test, homogenization test with Fisher test method, stability test, and inhouse value determination based on uncertainty measurement value. The resulting that samples of LTJ hydroxide derived from monazite and produced in PTBGN-BATAN have passed the test of water content, homogenity, and stability so that the sample can be made in-house standard.
