Abstract
This research is motivated by observations on the learning process at SMP Negeri 1 Bawolato, which is still relatively low. This is because the use of teaching materials in the form of media used has not helped in stimulating the ability of students to formulate and solve problems. The research location is in SMP Negeri 1 Bawlato with a total sample of 19 students of class VIII SMP. This study aims to (1). developing audio-visual-based learning media; (2). knowing the validity of audio-visual based learning media; (3). knowing the practicality of audio-visual-based learning media, and (4). knowing the effectiveness of audio-visual-based learning media on the completeness of student learning outcomes. This type of research is development research using a 4-D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The instruments used are: (1). module feasibility assessment questionnaire by validators and subject teachers, (2). questionnaire responses by students, (3). learning outcomes test. Assessment results (1). this development produces a product in the form of audio-visual media using a 4-D learning model (define, design, develop, and disseminate), (2). validation of content and material experts, by lecturers obtained a percentage of 96%, by subject teachers obtained a percentage of 96%. The percentage of language validation assessment obtained is 97%, and the percentage of design validation is 97%, with very valid qualifications, (3). The results of the practicality assessment in the simulation obtained a percentage of 92.85%, in the small group test the percentage was 97.14%, and the field test obtained a percentage of 95.48%, with very practical qualifications, and (4). the effectiveness of audio-visual-based learning media obtained a percentage of 84.21%, with very effective qualifications.
