Abstract

Merancang alat promosi pariwisata bagi wisatawan global membutuhkan perhatian terutama pada pilihan kosakata dan ekspresi bahasa Inggris yang menarik. Untuk menampilkan profil desa beserta ciri khasnya, desa wisata perlu memukau calon wisatawan global dengan menghadirkan bagian-bagian pilihan dalam brosur. Selanjutnya, penggunaan video Instagram Reels menjadi sarana promosi yang dapat mempertemukan calon pengunjung global secara lebih fleksibel, menarik, dan luas. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini didedikasikan untuk memberdayakan para peserta agar dapat menerapkan kosakata dan ungkapan bahasa Inggris yang sesuai dalam mempromosikan desa wisata mereka di banyak platform, seperti video pendek dan brosur yang mengundang. Melalui sesi sebanyak enam kali, para peserta termotivasi dalam menerapkan beberapa fitur bahasa Inggris promotif ketika mereka membuat brosur dan video promosi dan berhasil mendesain 5 (lima) brosur berbahasa Inggris dan video promosi yang terunggah dalam Instagram Reels.

Providing tourism promotion for global tourists needs high concerns of the choice of attractive English vocabulary items and English expressions. To present the village profile along with its distinctive features, the tourist village needs to mesmerize the future global tourists by presenting chosen parts in the brochure. Furthermore, the use of Instagram Reels video becomes a means of promotions that can meet the prospective global visitors more flexibly, attractively, and extensively. The community service program is dedicated for empowering the participants to apply suitable both vocabulary items and English expressions in promoting their tourism villages in many platforms, such as social media and inviting brochure. Through as many as six sessions, the facilitators are hoping that the participants are motivated in applying some promotive English language features when they are both creating promotion brochure and video.
