Abstract
Megalithic remain of Sumba is a cultural heritage which can be an object of ethno archaeological research, because that prehistoric tradition still continues until today. The location of Sumba Island, which is isolated, makes it difficult for outside cultures to enter. In addition, "Marapu" (belief in ancestral spirits) of Sumba people remains very strong. Many megalithic elements such as monumental objects, beliefs, customs and others continue to grow and develop in Sumba. Therefore, it can be said that Sumba is the center of Megalithic tradition in Eastern Indonesia.
