Konflik Kepentingan Dalam Pengelolaan Sumberdaya Arkeologi di Bali

Archaeological resource is one of tourism potential object in Bali. In managing this resource, conflict often occurs among academicians (archaeology as a science), local people and local government. Conflict happens because of different viewpoint and understanding about archaeological resource management itself. Academic people (archaeologists) in managing this resource will consider on the continuity of the object. On the other hand, local people and the government will just consider on the economic side. To solve the conflict, a formal and informal education of archaeology is needed. Through informal counseling, it is expected that the local people can understand the meaning of archaeological remain. In this case, the archaeologists play an important role in giving information about the value ofthe archaeological remains. In the future, archaeological resource management should base on society.
