Abstract

The qualitative and quantitative study on megalithic statues in Bali indicates that Bali is rich with the forms of statues belonging to megalithic tradition scattered almost all over Bali including Poh Asem, Dopaa, Koramas,Celuk, Selulung, Trunyan, Tembuku, Sanur, Peguyangan, Nusa Penida, Batungsel, Tejakula, and Tigawasa, among others. Technologically, tho statues found in North Bali tend to indicate the legless type of statue, while in South Bali tend to exposo sex organ. In the area of Nusa Penida, however, most statues indicate dynamic form.
