Abstract

Purwodadi Botanic Garden SeedBank task is doing basic researchrelated to seed storage. Base on its, data and documentation of capabilities seeds viability that have been stored in a freezer is neeeded. This research was conducted at the Seed Bank Unit Purwodadi on August 10th until September 16th, 2016. The methods used was direct observation, recording seeds germinate and height measurements germination as well as environmental factors in the greenhouse of nursery. In this research, testing the viability of the 70 seed species are included in the 22 families that have been stored in the freezer since 2014 (57 species) and 2015 (13 species). The results of viability testing are known 24 species ungerminated while 46 species germinate that means its have viability. From the results, that over 80% seed viability are on the species: Adenanthera pavonina, Ceiba pentandra, Coix LacrymaJobi, Dalbergia latifolia, Feroniella lucida, Schleichera oleosa and Sterculia foetida.
