Abstract
VARIATION IN REVERSING THERMOMETER READING. An experiment to assess variation in reversing thermometer reading was done by nine staffs and technicians of Physical Oceanography Laboratory, National Institute of Oceanology, Indonesian Institute of Sciences. In this experiment, the reading value of certain thermometer by each reader is compared to the mean value of all readings. The result showed that, in general, the reading variation falls in range of ± 0.05°C. It can be concluded that the high accuracy of the reading value is done by better trained reader. The habit of the reader also significantly affect the reading value.
