Abstract
SOME NOTES ON THE ISOPODS. The Isopods belong to the lower crustacean group. Their body is dorsoventrally compressed, depressed or flattened. Their pleopods are adapted for respiration. Among Isopods, the suborders Epicaridea and Gnathiidea are known to have specks which are parasitic. The best known parasitic families are Bopyridae and Cymothoidae. The parasitic Isopods are usually found lodging in the gill chamber of the host Commonly, they occur on crustaceans, particularly decapods and are often found attach on fishes.
