Abstract

TECHNIQUES FOR HATCHING AND HARVESTING ARTEMIA SALINA. Artemia salina are widely used as live food in mariculture. In this case, the most importance thing is the skill on the aplication of the technology for hatching and separation of the hatched nauplii from the unhatched of the empty cysts. The system introduced by SORGELOOS & PERSOONE (1975) for hatching and harvesting nauplii is recommended. The recent system in preparing nauplii, "decapsulation ", was briefly explained. The factors that control larval growth of A. salina was also discribed.
