Abstract
SALINITY MEASUREMENT OF SEA WATER AND ITS ROLE IN MARINE SCIENCE. One of the basic parameters in marine sciences is salinity. The concept of salinity and its measurement technique have developed due to progress in technology. Some definitions and methods of measurement of salinity are reviewed with the focus of discussion on measurement of salinity by using salinometer. Some roles of salinity in marine sciences are mentioned briefly.
