Abstract

Master control room is a division that has a very important role in airing television programs so that the television broadcasts can be well received by the public. One of them is a graphic advertising on a broadcast program, it is called as creative placement. In order for the creative placement advertising materials to be presented without compromising other information on the television shows and to meet the demand of the advertisers (clients), it is necessary to have the right mechanism in presenting the creative placement. Therefore, this study aims to determine the mechanism for creative placement presentation in the master control room (MCR) at the Metro TV television station. The research approach used in this study was a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that for the smooth running of creative placement presentation, it is very important to have coordination among divisions to determine decisions so that creative placements can be presented on schedule or a replacement schedule is made. In addition, technically, the mechanism for presenting creative placements must be carried out according to stages.
