Sertifikasi Sistem Stasiun Bumi Penginderaan Jauh LAPAN untuk Penerimaan Data Landsat-8

Along with the launch of Landsat-8 remote sensing satellite on February 11, 2013 has guaranteed the continuity of Landsat data availability requirement for International cooperator (IC) specifically for National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN). Ground Station system enhancement is absolutely necessary by certifying Landsat-8 data reception Ground Station. Ground Station Certification is done through a number of procedures that have been defined by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Certification consists of IC Web Portal interface testing, Landsat-8 X-band data reception, delivery of pass-post reports, metadata records, as well as mission data validation to the USGS. This paper discusses certification process of Ground Station for receiving Landsat-8 data that has been done in Parepare and Rumpin. The analysis of the various parameters of the procedure has been done to meet the specified requirements. Results showed that Parepare Ground Station has been certified on September 2013, and Rumpin Ground Station has been certified on March 2014. It is expected that this paper can be used as a reference for the certification process in another Ground Station for Landsat-8 data receiving.
