Abstract

ABSTRAK
SISTEM PENGENDALIAN KESELAMATAN BERBASIS JARINGAN. Salah satu teknologi yang sedang berkembang dan dapat diterapkan untuk tujuan pengendalian sistem berbasis jaringan local adalah teknologi Power over Ethernet ( PoE ) atau juga sering disebut Power over LAN ( PoL). Teknologi ini memungkinkan pengiriman sumber daya ( power ) yang terintegrasikan dengan data melalui media yang sama yaitu kabel koneksi Unshieded Twisted Pair Category – 5 ( UTP CAT-5 ) dengan media antarmuka kenektor RJ-45 tanpa diperlukan modifikasi. Teknologi PoE mengacu pada Standard IEEE 802.3af yang dikeluarkan olehInstitute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). Teknologi PoE ini terdiri dari dua komponen dasar yaitu Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) elemen yang menghubungkan ke jaringan dan Powered Device (PD) elemen yang menghubungkan ke piranti luar yang dikendalikan. Besar tegangan yang dapat diberikan berkisar antara 44 – 57 Vdc dengan tegangan nominal 48 Vdc dan arus 350 – 400 mA serta daya minimum 15,4 watt. Panjang maksimal kabel UTP adalam 100 meter dengan hambatan R=20 Ohm, tegangan jatuh sebesar 7 Vdc serta kehilangan daya sebesar 2,45 watt.

ABSTRACT
SAFETY CONTROLLING SYSTEM BASED NETWORKING. One of the developing technology that can be applied on the system controlling based on a local networking is Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology or Power over LAN (PoL).This technology makes the transmission of power integrated with data using single medium can be performed by mean of connection cable named Unshielded Twisted Pair Caegory-5 ( UTP CAT-5), by using interface connector RJ-45 without the need to make any modification in it. This technology refers to IEEE 802.3af Standard was ratified in June 2003 by Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). PoE technology is by two components. Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) is connected to the network another component called Powered Device (PD) is connected to the controlled system. Its enables to supply voltage from 44 to 57 volt DC with nominally 48 volt DC, current from 350 to 400 mA and minimum power 15.4 watt. The maximum length of cable UTP is 100 meter with the resistance is 20 kilo Ohm, voltage drop is 7 volt and power losing is 2.45 watt.
