Abstract

Geomagnetic methods are one of the oldest and most applied geophysical methods in the field of mineral exploration and site survey. Geomagnetic data of this research is gradiomagnetic data which measurement is done with two sensors in single magnetometer with separation distance 1.3m parallel horizontally with interval time of measurement about 5 second. The research area of data collection is carried out in the Prospective Site of The RDE (Experimental Site Reactor) at Puspiptek Serpong and surrounding areas. The purpose of this research is to get map of gradiomagnetic anomaly of Puspiptek Serpong and surrounding area. The data processing using the method of advanced analysis is technique of reduction to pole and upward continuation. This processing methods will remove the gradiomagnetic fields caused by magnetic objects at or near the surface which are considered as noise or disturbance. The result of the research is an anomaly map of the laterally distributed gradiomagnetic field with a range of values around -400 nT sampai 450 nT. Based on the map can be obtained three anomalous zone that is westpart, centerpart, eastpart the penyebarnnya relative north-south direction. The western part is called the westpart zone with an anomalous value of about 100-250 nT. The middle section is called the centerpart zone with anomalous values of about 50-450 nT, while the eastern part is called the eastpart with an anomalous value of about 50-250 nT.
