Abstract

Electrical contact investigation of high Tc Superconductor bulk of YBCO (123)systems has been done. The purpose of this investigation is to look for an electrical method connecting metal and ceramic superconductor which has a low resistance. We prepared two configuration, i.e. by embedding silver wire and embedding copper wire using silver paste as binder. There are some steps for preparation of measurement, i.e. embedding process, binding process using silver paste, and heat treatment process (annealing ). The purpose of annealing process is to eliminate polymers which are contained in silver paste. Both methods yield a low resistivity contact suitable with it's {rho}{sub c} about 6.94 x 10{sup -}7 {omega}.cm{sup 2}, respectively. From both methods, embedding silver wire method is more effective and good. The contact method is expected to give a better solution for application of technology bulk superconductor.
