Abstract

The rapid growth of electromagnetic wave-based technologies has raised concerns about potential health risks from wave energy radiation. To address this, we investigate the impact of Ni and Ti doping on Nd0.67Sr0.33Mn1-xNix/2Tix/2O3 compound for enhanced electromagnetic wave absorption. We used a sol–gel method to synthesize samples with varying doping concentrations (x = 0, 0.03, 0.06) and subjected them to comprehensive characterizations. XRD and SEM analyses reveal single-phase structures, smaller crystal sizes, and minimal strain at higher doping concentrations. Elemental analysis via EDX confirms material purity, while VSM measurements reveal a decrease in magnetization with higher doping concentrations. Microwave absorption analysis demonstrates exceptional performance, with the x = 0.06 sample exhibiting a 99.04% absorption rate and a minimum reflection loss of -20.1 dB at 10.56 GHz within an effective absorption bandwidth (RL < 10 GHz) of 0.4 GHz. Our study underscores the significance of controlled doping in enhancing microwave absorption properties, holding promise for applications in electromagnetic wave attenuation and absorption technologies.
