Abstract
A study was conducted to develop an Apparatus Smart Low-CostRadiation Monitor utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The radiationmeasuring device created can remotely take accurate and comprehensivemeasurements, reducing the potential hazards that radiation protectionemployees encounter. This study showcases the conceptualization, execution, andverification of a radiation monitoring system based on the IoT framework. Theradiation measurements are constructed using the BPW-34 PIN photodiodes arrayto detect radiation. These photodiodes are connected to an Arduino NodeMCUESP8266, which is responsible for processing and presenting the results in sieverts(Sv). The monitor's accuracy was assessed by testing using standard radiationsources Cs-137. After three tests, the results indicate average error values of0.399%, 0,593%, and 0,428% for the first, second, and third tests, respectively. Themeasurement data, accompanied by geo-location information, is consistentlytransmitted to the Thingspeak server in real time.
