Abstract

ABSTRACT
ACCEPTANCE OF RADIATION DOSE AS INDICATORS OF SAFETY IN RADIOACTIVE WASTE PROCESSING IN 2015. The risk of working with materials radioaktif is acceptance of radiation doses to workers who handle. One indicator of activity radioactive waste treatment processes running safely and securely can evaluated from the radiation dose that workers receipt that they are handle, so that the monitoring of the radiation dose reception worker needs continuous attention. This research was conducted using secondary data, ie the measurement result the dose rate of work areas and the dose rate radioactive waste in prosess during 2015. This dose rate are compared with radiation dose of workers in the same period (four times the monitoring period) and also compared with limits annual dose radiation yearly. The evaluation of radiation dose during 2015 is between 0 mSv until 0.91 mSv. With the average radiation dose is 0.16 mSv. While the highest dose rate process on working area at 2015 in Interm Storage is 3.32 μSv/h. The average acceptance of radiation dose to workers who handle radioactive waste process is 0.28 mSv, it is still far below the value of the annual dose limit of 20 mSv. Thus the radiation dose of worker who handle radioactive waste treatment process, their reception radiation dose which exceeds the permitted annual limits is not found, The acceptance of radiation dose as one of an indicator of safety in the processing of radioactive waste is ensured.
