Abstract
As difficulty on finding oil reserve location, more sophisticated technologies are needed to drill the oil well. This lead to oil drilling cost is very expensive.
Therefore Pertamina choose the production-sharing contract with local and foreign contractors to drill the oil well.
The oil drilling technologies are very expensive because the uncertainty to get oil is high especially for seismic tracks. Exploration method analysis and gain mechanism between Pertamina and the contractors are needed to have a picture of the effectiveness of the oil exploration method that implemented in Indonesia.
