Abstract

Recently, UPT-LUK has been asked to propose a scheme for testing a Main Girder Plan. Main Girder Plan is a tool for placing prestesses-concrete girder on bridge piers. Main Girder Plan itself is a steel frame girdor, which is designed to carry load mainly from prestressed-concrete girder. The owner wants to know the residual strength of the main girder plan because it has been stored for four years and has shown some corrosion spots. UPT-LUK then proposed to do 5 steps. First, determination of the possible likely load that give the maximum stress fo the main girder by doing structural analysis; second, Material fensile fest of the main girder plan; third, Bolt funsion test; fourth, Measuring the thickness of H-Beam used in main girder plan; and finally, Carrying out structural analysis to determine the residual strength of main girder plan.
The results show values of stress, which then are evaluated and planned to be used for performing the next steps, standards are used to help developing the steps.
