Hydrodynamic laboratory and its service for supporting maritime industries

This considers some of the factors influencing the design of marine structure and usage of hydrodynamic model test facilities. The general factors are considered, and the subject of hydrodynamic fest parameters is explained in some detail.
The indonesian Hydrodynamic Laboratory (HL), full utilizing its advanced facilties and the large store of technology know-how its has been gained through co-operation with the relevant National Institution and abroad over many years, is devoted to research and development in the fields of propulsion, seakeeping and maneuvering performances of ship and offshore structures of all lypes.
Since 1994, the laboratory has been operated to study and develope hydrodynamic performance of new design as well as to improve that existing design to meet current demand. Five year operations of this laboratory has proved its performance with more than fourthly research and commercial projects of the ship, offshore platform and other marine engineening those has been cared out.
