Abstract
Supervision carried out by the head of the madrasa is essentially conductingcoaching, guiding to solve educational problems. Facts on the ground show thatsupervision activities carried out by the head of the madrasa have not been a pleasant activity for teachers. This activity actually makes teachers still afraid because they think this activity is looking for teacher mistakes. In addition, the supervision activities carried out by the head of the madrasa have not seen any feedback from this implementation.Therefore, researchers conducted action research with the aim of finding out the application and effectiveness of clinical supervision for madrasah heads in efforts to improve teacher performance in carrying out effective learning at MTs Muhammadiyah Lempangang for the 2020-2021 academic year. This research is a School ActionResearch conducted in 3 cycles. Increased teacher performance on group absorption in Cycles I, II, and III of 72.86%; 82.30%; and 91.20%. While the increase in teacher performance on group completeness in Cycles I, II, and III was 46.15%; 69.23%; and 100.00%. And the increase in teacher performance on individual absorption in Cycles I, II, and III was 6, 9, and 13 teachers. Based on the results of this study, it shows that the application of clinical supervision coaching for madrasa heads can improve teacher performance in carrying out effective learning. Apart from that, the clinical supervision of the madrasa head is very effective in improving teacher performance in carrying out effective learning
