Abstract

Parents have a noble place before Allah Swt, therefore birrul walidain is the main thing that must be done by a child. Birrul walidain’s orders side by side with obedience to Allah Swt. How important is the position of parents for their children, so that Allah Swt makes absolute provisions for a child who treats parents badly or in other words commits disobedience to parents, will be given a grave sin penalty. This punishment is not only given in the afterlife, in this world punishment is enforced. Birrul walidain is a good character, and even in the qur’an there are many commands to serve parents. And in these verses contains a concept andprocedure for doing good to parents. An example is always obeying the words and orders of parents, as long as the order is a virtue.
